The Walker Art Center and ACF present Sound Horizon

Home » Blogs » 's blog » The Walker Art Center and ACF present Sound Horizon

The American Composers Forum is delighted to partner with the Walker Art Center for the free, in-gallery music series Sound Horizon. Exploring live sound and visual art, the series includes three of the country’s most respected composers and solo sonic adventurers.

On March 8th, Sound Horizon featured Juliana Barwick in the Pearlman Gallery for a sonic journey. Barwick’s voice wafted through the air as the sculpture otheranimal by Ernesto Neto suspended above her in illuminated light.. The experience was otherworldly and spiritual—creating a sanctuary as museum-goers were captivated in stillness. Imagine a vinyasa yoga session in a vaulted cathedral.

Check out the next two Sound Horizon experiences with guitar hero/mad scientist, Elliot Sharp, and saxophonist, Colin Stetson.
