Katrina Wreede, violist, composer, educator, has been a professional symphony musician, a jazz violist, a member of Turtle Island String Quartet, a concert soloist, a belly dancer, a police fingerprinter, a player of Tango Nuevo, Persian and Central European music and a composer for soloists, chamber ensembles, orchestras and dance, sometimes with social and political overtones. Her works are published by MMB Music and Latham Music and performed internationally. She has been Visiting Artist with many schools, including Boston Conservatory and for the Berkeley Symphony. She was Composer in the Schools for ACF from 1998-2004.
