The American Composers Forum (ACF) champions composers and other creative musicmakers, and boosts their careers with professional opportunities. Our Jerome Fund for New Music (Jfund) supports the creation, presentation, and subsequent life of a new work. About 10 grants are available: up to $7,000 for the composer or primary artist’s time to create the work, and up to $1,500 to help make it happen and further its potential.
-
In partnership with New Music USA, Live Music for Dance Minnesota expands on the previous work ACF has done in support of Minnesota composers and choreographers, and leverages new money opportunities for composers, choreographers, and musicians to expand their horizons as artists.
-
McKnight Composer Fellowships are monetary awards given annually to four Minnesota composers. The award is $25,000 in unrestricted funds, plus the opportunity to spend up to one month of concentrated time working in an artist residency setting of their choice.
