In partnership with Minnesota Public Radio, ACF is pleased to sponsor a composition category in the the third annual Minnesota Varsity contest. Minnesota Varsity is a high school-level Classical music showcase students from Minnesota.

BandQuest is a series of new music for middle-level band. It's written especially for young students by world class composers. The series is published by the American Composers Forum (St. Paul, Minn.) and distributed by Hal Leonard (Milwaukee, Wis.).

ACF's Composer Teaching Artist Training Program will develop the skills and capacity of composers in Minnesota and will prepare composers to work with students and teachers in the classroom and/or afterschool/community settings. Twelve composers from across the state will be selected to participate in the program.

Free curriculum materials and lesson plans that have been developed through ACF programs can be downloaded here. Materials include lessons about creating music, performing, listening, world music, and more.
