Violinist Shalini Vijayan, bassoonist Judith Farmer and pianist Robert Edward Thies will perform the U.S. premiere of LYRICAL INTERMEZZO on Friday, August 10, 8 pm during the chamber music concert "Music of Austria" at the 9th annual Beverly Hills International Music Festival at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, 8844 Burton Way in Beverly Hills. The piece was commissioned by the Germany-based CrossNova Ensemble and is inspired by four poems from Heinrich Heine's collection "Lyrical Intermezzo". Also on the program will be works by Walter Arlen, Alban Berg, Matthias Ruegg and Franz Schubert.
