Jeffrey Yelverton is the Director of Digital Media at the American Composer Forum, where he oversees the organization’s digital platforms and curates digital resources and content for artists. Previously, he served as a digital producer of classical music for Minnesota Public Radio and American Public Media. In this role, he supported MPR/APM’s digital portfolio by providing production support for YourClassical Storytime, New Classical Tracks, and various seasonal events while creating original content. Before joining MPR/APM, Jeffrey was a content creator for the South Carolina Music Guide and a public relations officer for active duty and reserve bands in the U.S. Army.

Jeffrey is working towards a Ph.D. in musicology at the University of Minnesota and earned a master’s in music history from the University of South Carolina. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in music (French horn performance) from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Jeffrey is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Black Opera Research Network, Society of American Music, the American Musicological Society, and the International Musicological Society. 

Jeffrey lives in the Twin Cities with his family and enjoys kayaking, weightlifting and discovering new music and brews.
