When ordinary people find fulfillment through philanthropy, both the donor and organization are transformed. Dionne Jackson’s great passion is helping to inspire and motivate donors to engage with causes that are important to them through in meaningful philanthropy.

Before joining the team at the American Composers Forum, Dionne served as AVP for Leadership Gifts at Lehigh University, leading the creation of the strategic plan to take the team from $22M per year to $50M annually. Prior to this position, Dionne served as the VP for Institutional Advancement and the Executive Director of the Foundation for Reichhold Center for the Arts at the University of the Virgin Islands. There, she oversaw the silent phase of a capital campaign that raised almost $40M and expanded the Foundation’s board, creating a stronger, more productive group. Her past experience includes major gifts fundraising for University Life at the University of Pennsylvania and the Greenfield Intercultural Center as well as institutional giving at Vassar College.

Dionne has an MBA from Cornell University, an MFA in Arts Management from Brooklyn College, and a BA in Africana Studies from Vassar College.

When she is not out raising money for organizations, Dionne spends her free time traveling internationally; cooking rich, exotic foods; enjoying the visual and performing arts; and spending time with family.
