With a lifelong passion for music, Elise Peterson is excited to be American Composers Forum’s Director of Development and Operations. Elise has worked in the non-profit sector for over 15 years, helping organizations build their fundraising programs and generate philanthropic support for their missions. Her work has included leading the fundraising teams at Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa, MontanaPBS, and most recently Neighborcare Health in Seattle, WA. She is committed to grounding fundraising in social justice and anti-racism, and is actively working within the community-centric fundraising movement to dismantle inequitable fundraising practices.
Elise lives in the Twin Cities and loves exploring the outdoors with her husband, Bjorn, and their son, Magnus. She enjoys cooking, reading, dancing, and strumming her guitar by a campfire.
