Applications for the 2026 Vienna Contemporary Composers Festival (VCCF) are now open! The festival will take place July 3–16, 2026, in Vienna, Austria — one of the world’s most inspiring centers for music and culture. Highlights of the 2026 edition include: 1) performances of participants’ works by our resident and guest ensembles — PHACE, Mivos Quartet, and Dal Niente; 2) a special appearance by Irvine Arditti, founder of the Arditti Quartet, who will perform and, time permitting, record new works for solo violin; 3) private lessons, seminars, and masterclasses with internationally renowned composers and performers; and 4) vibrant schedule of lectures, rehearsals, and performances in the heart of Vienna. Tuition is 3.985 euros, scholarships are available.
We are also thrilled to share that Global Arts United — the organization behind VCCF — is expanding with new international programs and opportunities launching in 2026. And if you are attending the Midwest Clinic in Chicago this December, please come visit our booth and say hello!
