ICEBERG New Music 2021 Composition Institute

ICEBERG New Music is pleased to accept registrations for auditors to their 2021 Composition Institute, which will take place online from July 19-30. Faculty include acclaimed composers Marcos Balter ( and Oscar Bianchi (, as well as the ten member composers of ICEBERG New Music (

Auditors will participate in all masterclasses, seminars, and social events, but will not have a composition performed or recorded during the Institute. Please note that all full participant openings have already been filled. This call is for auditors only. The fee to participate as an auditor is €150.


The 2021 ICEBERG Institute is an intensive, 2-week course of workshops, master classes, concerts and presentations for up to 16 full participants and up to 30 auditors. Conveniently conducted online, this is a singular opportunity for participants to make connections and hone their craft. They will receive daily input and feedback from composition faculty and distinguished guest faculty, and have their music performed and recorded by internationally renowned ensemble Trio Immersio (

Daily activities will include private instruction (for full participants only), seminars, masterclasses, open rehearsals, happy hours, and other social activities. The Institute will culminate with a final performance featuring the premieres of participants’ works. Representatives from Just A Theory Press ( will lead a seminar about music publishing, and select participant works may be considered for publication.

Registration requires two steps:

1) Click the yellow “Donate” button marked “step one.” Follow the steps to pay your €150 registration fee using PayPal (all major credit cards accepted). Make sure to note your PayPal receipt number.

2) Click the yellow “Complete Registration Form” button marked step two. Fill out and submit the registration form.
