IMPULSE NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL is looking for participants in its upcoming online workshop: Intro. to Computer Music. Workshops meet virtually and are limited to a small number of participants who will work directly with the instructor. Applicants may be located anywhere in the world.
January 8 – February 26, 2024 (8 weeks)
Meets virtually Mondays, 5:00 pm – 6:15 pm Pacific Time
This popular online workshop helps you learn the fundamentals of computer music through hands-on, guided work that will take you from concept to making actual music. This workshop utilizes Max8, an industry standard software for audio programming, which participants will use to explore the techniques of electronic sound synthesis, build computer instruments, and gain practical experience incorporating those tools into your own musical practice. No prior programming or electronic music experience is necessary for this course.
