The UF School of Music Call for Scores by Women Composers in the category for Euphonium/tuba and percussion duet is extended due to the low number of submissions. Applicants of any age, geographical location, and stage in their professional career are welcome to apply. Selected work(s) will be performed by Dr. Danielle Moreau and Danielle VanTuinen (Moreau VanTuinen Duo) at the UF School of Music, Gainesville, FL, in Spring 2024. If the selected piece requires more time for the preparation, it will be programmed in the 2024-2025 concert season.
To submit your piece(s), please fill out this form. If you previously submitted a piece in this category, you don’t need to resubmit your piece. The preferred duration is under 10 minutes, although longer pieces will be considered.There is no submission fee. Selected composers are encouraged but not required to attend the performance of their work. There is no travel funding available at this time.
The deadline for submission is January 14, 2023 at 11:59 ET.
No more than one piece from each composer is allowed. Pieces cannot be traditionally published but can be self-published. Only original compositions are accepted: no arrangements of public domain material. Submissions do not have to be anonymous, newly written, and unperformed.
