Chris Campbell is a composer, producer, and the Director of Recordings at innova recordings/ACF. An alum of Sarah Lawrence College, Campbell studied composition with George Tsontakis.

From sit-down concerts to all-night festivals, his music has been performed and heard from New Zealand to Montserrat. From the UK to the US. Praised as “heady, possessing elements of post-Minimalism, avant-garde rock, jazz and global fusion styles that mingle and merge with dreamlike mutability”…(The New York Times) and “a surreal (or super-real?) vortex…(Gramophone), Campbell’s music is a meditation on sacred space, ritual and sonic texture.

In addition to his own music, Campbell has either produced or worked directly on the promotion and distribution of over 300 projects and albums (2 of them Grammy winners) with many of them appearing in publications such as Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Newsweek, Time Out, Downbeat, and USA Today. For him, music continues to be a vehicle for community, for quiet, assertive communication, and for bold listening.

Chris lives in Saint Paul, MN with his family. He loves cooking, boxing, gardening, and exploring new art.

You can contact Chris if you have any questions about recordings or the recording process, if you have an inquiry about general music business or licensing, and if you are interested in promoting or distributing your work in an impactful way.
