This website is provided by the American Composers Forum (ACF), a Minnesota non-profit corporation, as a service to its members. If you choose to use this website or any services provided through this website, you agree that these terms apply to your use. ACF may modify these terms at any time without notice to you, and you agree to be bound by any such modifications.  Nothing in these terms shall be deemed to confer any third-party rights or benefits.

In order to be listed in the online directory of ACF members which appears on this website, you must be an ACF member. To join, you must complete the registration process by providing us with information as prompted by the registration forms provided on this website or via email, surface mail, or fax. You agree that the information you are providing us is accurate as of the time you enter it. You also agree to tell us if your information should change. As part of this process you will obtain a user ID for this website and choose a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your user ID and password, and you agree that you are responsible for what might happen if another person should use your user ID.

Both you and ACF have the right to terminate your membership and/or user account at any time, with or without reason. If ACF wishes to terminate your user account, ACF will attempt once to send email to your last-known email address, advising you of the termination. If you wish to terminate your user account, you agree to send email or some other written notice to ACF, using the then current contact information listed on the ACF website.

From time to time, ACF is asked to provide member names and contact information to organizations which promote opportunities for composers. Unless you have specifically authorized ACF to do so for this purpose, your contact information will not be given to any such organization. Whatever contact information that you include in your online listing on this website will be visible to anyone who views this website.

Any dealings you have with these artists are solely between you and the artist; ACF does not have any responsibility for the results you may obtain from your dealings with the artists.

As an artist or organization registering with this website, you agree that you will not use this website to post or display any material that is unlawful (including material that violates federal copyright laws or other legal ownership or license rights), harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable to a reasonable person. If ACF determines in its sole discretion that any posted content violates the terms of this paragraph, ACF reserves the right to remove it from the web site immediately and without prior notice to you. You own all of the content and information you post on this site, to the extent that you owned it when you posted it. For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos, videos and music files (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on this site. This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.

When you delete IP content, it is deleted in a manner similar to emptying the recycle bin on a computer. However, you understand that removed content may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time (but will not be available to others).
