American Composers Forum presents – “Connecting Our Students to Cutting-Edge Chamber Repertoire: New Solo and Ensemble Music Written by Black Composers”

This session will highlight new pedagogical chamber music repertoire available for educators to include in their high school-level solo and ensemble repertoire by composers supported through various American Composers Forum commissions. There will also be performances of works by Thomas Flippin (Composing Inclusion Cycle 1) and Valerie Coleman (BQ artist). This presentation will feature the world premiere of a new string quartet by Minnesota-based composer PaviElle French, who will co-present and share her process and experiences with developing this new work.
