Racial Equity Study Group discussion of Do The Right Thing and the films of Spike Lee with filmmaker D. A. Bullock

September 29, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm CDT

ACF’s Study Group opens our staff and board conversations and anti-racism training to our colleagues and friends. Please use this Zoom link as we will be meeting remotely due to Covid-19.

Our next study group will be Tuesday, September 29th at 4 pm CST.

For this month’s group we’ll be discussing Spike Lee’s 1989 film “Do The Right Thing”. Written, produced, and directed by Mr. Lee, the film was nominated for two Academy Awards. In 1999 it was deemed “culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant” by the Library of Congress. Just a few reasons to watch and discuss this electric film!

Join us as filmmaker, storyteller and activist D.A. Bullock leads us in a discussion of Lee’s work.

Here’s an an  interview with Mr. Lee about his film.
