About

Kinetic is back at MATCH with Quiet Art, our first concert of 2021, live-streamed from Matchbox 4. Opening with Jennifer Higdon’s Quiet Art for string quartet, a work reflecting on the solitude in which artists create their work, this program draws us into a deeply introspective and intimate musical space. The centerpiece of the program is J.S. Bach’s monumental keyboard work, Goldberg Variations, which Kinetic will perform in a new string ensemble arrangement. Quiet Art offers an intimate, yet invigorating musical musing that speaks to the solitary state of our current times.

This concert will be presented as a virtual live stream performance on Sunday January 24, at 7:30 PM CT.

After the live stream concludes, the concert recording will be available On Demand until Sunday, February 7, 2021.
