Apollo Chamber Players, is featuring African-American composer Kimo Williams this Sunday November 22 at 7pm CST /8 pm EST as part of a digital world premiere and live Zoom Q&A.
The commission is titled With Malice Toward None and is scored for string quartet and electric violin – the piece connects President Lincoln and Beethoven through their shared Enlightenment ideals. Kimo is also a veteran and dedicated this piece to the late civil rights activist and congressman John Lewis.
