The Gustavus Department of Music presents Returning Color to Our World with the Chatterton-McCright Duo. Longtime musical partners Linda Chatterton, flute, and Matthew McCright, piano, present a colorful and joyous program to help us emerge from the gloom of pandemic life. The concert will be presented on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at 7:30 PM CT. in Jussi Björling Concert Hal and is free to all attending.
Hear the sweeping landscape of Kentucky, Jewish Klezmer, the wooden bamboo flute, and popular music filtered through the international duo’s style and flair. The repertoire presented includes music works by Gaubert, Chen Yi (a BandQuest and ChoralQuest composer) , Dan Welcher, and Paul Schoenfield.
