CreArtBox, a New York-based chamber music collective, invites American composers to submit new works for our upcoming season. This initiative aims to support and showcase contemporary composers from the United States, providing a platform for their music to be performed in interdisciplinary productions that integrate visual arts, theater, and multimedia.

What We’re Looking For

We seek original compositions that:

– Are written for chamber ensembles (duo, trio, or larger configurations up to 8 musicians).

– Have a duration of 5 to 15 minutes.

– Are written by U.S.-based composers of any age or career level.

Collaboration & Future Opportunities

Selected composers will have their works performed as part of CreArtBox’s 2026-2027 season and will have the opportunity to collaborate with visual artists, filmmakers, and other performers.

Funds are available to cover travel expenses. Travel is not required.

Why Submit?

– Over the past two years, this program  has resulted in two major commissions of $10,000 each, with artists receiving further opportunities for large-scale projects.

– Selected works will be performed on CreArtBox’s U.S. and European tour , gaining exposure to international audiences.

– Future commissioning opportunities for larger-scale projects may be available to selected composers.

– Works will be professionally performed, recorded, and integrated into CreArtBox’s immersive productions

– Composers will be part of a collective redefining the concert experience by blending music, theater, and visual arts.

Eligibility

– Open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

– Composers at any career stage are welcome to apply.

– Entry Fee: $20

– Deadline: April 15th, 2025

– Selected composers will be contacted for further collaboration.
