Juventas New Music Ensemble Call for Scores

Seeks works inspired by the seasons, for any combination of soprano, horn, piano and percussion, from any emerging composers. Selected works will be performed September 27 & 28, 2025 in Brattleboro, Vermont and Sudbury, Massachusetts. The $15 application fee can be waived if it presents a financial barrier to applying.

Composers Guild of New Jersey Éxi Chéria Commission

Seeks work samples from New-Jersey-based composers. One selected composer will receive $1500 to compose a new 5-7 minute piece for flute, viola and cello, to be performed in the fall of 2026.

Composers Guild of New Jersey Programs

Seeks project proposals from New-Jersey-based composers, performers or presenting organizations. Of particular interest is awarding commissions through calls for scores administered collaboratively with performers. Selected applicants will receive grants to realize their projects.

Springfield Chamber Chorus Composition Contest

Seeks 3-6 minute choral works suitable for an advanced chamber choir, related to the holiday season, from any composers. Selected works will be performed in December 2025 in Springfield, Missouri. The $30 application fee can be waived if it presents a financial barrier to applying.

Composing Nature

Seeks applications from any composers for program in Lavarone, Italy, August 20-28, 2025, including lessons, classes, and the performance of a new work for percussion or electronics inspired by the region’s landscape. The course fee is 350 Euros, and does not include lodging or food.

Ensemble Ipse Flash Mass

Seeks work samples from any composers. The first 50 qualified composers will each receive a $75 honorarium to contribute up to one hour of electronic music to be played simultaneously with other participants’ music on Central Park’s Great Lawn, New York City, May 17, 2025.

Arts Letters and Numbers Creative Music Intensive

Seeks applications for program August 2-17, 2025 at Arts Letters and Numbers in Averill Park, New York, including classes, informal workshops, listening critiques, private lessons, and collaborations, culminating in a concert of particpant works. The program fee is $1950-2250, and includes housing and some meals.

Pacific Chamber Orchestra Dream American Workshop

Seeks 5-10 minute orchestral works, preferably 6-8 minutes, which have not been read or performed by professional orchestras, from composers under age 40 who are US citizens or residents. Submitted works should represent, emanate from or be dedicated to an aspect of cultural heritage and diversity. Five selected composers will each receive a $500 stipend and a workshop with the Pacific Chamber Orchestra, concluding in a public performance on October 26, 2025 in Livermore, California.

Espacios Sonoros Open Call

Seeks 5-15 minute multichannel electroacoustic works (ambisonics B-format is preferred) from any composers, with a special category for Latin American composers under age 35. Selected works will be presented in Salta, Argentina in September 2025.

Sounds of Now Vienna Contemporary Music Festival

Seeks applications from any composers over the age of 18, for intensive 2-week program at the University of Music and Performing Arts (mdw) in Vienna, Austria, during 4-15 August. Composition mentors include Dai Fujikura and Lukas Ligeti, participating performers include Mivos Quartet and former ICE flutist Eric Lamb. Participation fee is €3650 and includes individual lessons, presentations, seminars, rehearsal, performance and live recording of a composer’s work, hotel accommodation, and most meals. Merit-based scholarships are available.

Albany Symphony Composer Workshop

Seeks applications from US citizen or US-based composers, for six-day workshop during the Albany Symphony’s American Music Festival in Troy, New York, June 2-8, 2025, including lessons, masterclasses, and public readings and recordings of new works by the Albany Symphony. The workshop fee is $600, and participants are responsible for their own housing and travel expenses, and most meals. Some scholarships and hotel discounts are available.

MA/IN 2025 Call for Works

Seeks acousmatic works, mixed media, audiovisual works, installations and electroacoustic live performances, of any length, from any composers. Selected works will be performed or presented during festival in Castrignano de’ Greci and Lecce, Italy, September 25-29, 2025, and Matera and Potenza, Italy, Oct 1-5, 2025.

Klexoslab Composition Workshop

Seeks applications from any composers for program July 22-27, 2025 in Plasencia, Extremadura, Spain, including workshops, tutoring, and premieres of new 6-minute works (available instruments within) on July 25. Tuition is 300 Euros.

Schloss Wiepersdorf Fellowships

Seeks applications from any individuals or collaborative teams who have completed an academic or artistic course of study, are working on a doctorate, or have distinguished themselves through long-standing professional work. Selected artists will spend three months in residence at Schloss Wiepersdorf in rural Germany, receiving workspace, room, board, a 1200 Euro monthly stipend, and 480 Euros to cover material expenses.

University of Michigan Organ Conference Call for Proposals

Seeks proposals for talks, performances, lecture-recitals, and roundtables, including scores of up to 10 minutes of music, in the realms of organ, carillon, harpsichord, sacred music, and early music. Selected works will be presented at the University of Michigan Organ Conference, October 5-7, 2025.

Westside Chamber Players Call for Scores

Seeks 6-10 minute chamber orchestra works from composers who are students enrolled in the 2024-25 academic year. Two winning works will be performed and recorded during the 2025-26 season. The $10 application fee can be waived if it presents a financial barrier to applying.

Follow My Score 2025

Seeks works of any duration or instrumentation (solo and chamber works are preferred). Selected works will be featured in score videos on ScoreFollower’s YouTube channels. Works that include visual footage in addition to or in lieu of a score are also accepted.

Festival Contrasti International Composition Masterclass with Carola Bauckholt

Seeks applications from any composers, for masterclass August 19-26 in Trento, Italy, including individual and collective lessons culminating in a final concert. The participation fee is 380 Euros, and does not include housing, meals or travel.

Sioux City Symphony Composer of the Year Competition

Seeks 5-15 minute orchestral works that have not been performed or read by professional orchestras, from composers who are US citizens and in the early stages of their careers. One selected composer will receive $5000 and accommodations and local transportation to attend a residency in Sioux City, Iowa, including a performance by the Sioux City Symphony, and various community outreach activities.

Screen Music Program

Seeks applications from any composers for intensive program in film and video game scoring in Pavia, Italy, August 4-14, 2025, including lectures, lessons, rehearsals and recording. Tuition is 1799 Euros, and includes housing but not meals or travel.
