Josey Balenger brings over two decades of nonprofit leadership experience in museums, philanthropy, and the performing arts. She began her career as a theatrical stage manager but has held many administrative and development roles, including Executive Director of the Fargo-Moorhead Science Museum, Development & Philanthropic Services Operations Manager at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Director of Operations at the Center for Prevention, and Director of Business Operations at the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Throughout her career, she has consistently championed anti-racism, equity, and inclusion, developing responsive policies, strategies, and programs that operationalized those values into work systems, business practices, and events.

In her free time, you can find her outdoors: hiking, camping, and kayaking. She also is obsessed with the Milwaukee Brewers, the Great Lakes, and her puppy Hazel.
