Amanda has taken a circuitous path to her current work as a music critic and digital editor. Flute performance was her first love, but during her D.M.A. studies, her interests in research and writing started to take shape. When an injury left her unable to play her instrument, she threw all of her creative energy into shaping I CARE IF YOU LISTEN into the platform you see today.
As Editor of I CARE IF YOU LISTEN, Amanda’s work is centered on amplifying diverse artistic voices. She believes that strong communities are built by developing genuine relationships, one person at a time. She is also responsible for ACF’s e-communications, including our monthly newsletter and events bulletin.
Outside of ACF, Amanda is getting better at having hobbies. She is a published crossword puzzle constructor, maintains a blog for refined sugar-free dessert recipes, and enjoys taking care of her growing collection of houseplants.
Amanda lives in Minnesota with her husband Kenny, and together they enjoy hiking, playing board games, and cheering for the Cleveland Guardians.
