SIX NONSTOP HOURS OF LIVE STREAMING MUSIC!
On Saturday, October 18 from 2pm – 8pm CDT / 3pm – 9pm EDT, Bang on a Can re-ignites with 6 hours of nonconformist, noncommercial, boundary-smashing music. Kick off is at 2pm/3pm with a special birthday tribute to master composer George Crumb (91 years young!) and close off with a solo sonic adventure featuring guitarist-composer Bill Frisell. Don’t miss 9 world premieres commissioned especially for the day, a rare solo appearance by David Longstreth (of Dirty Projectors) plus music and performances by Hauschka, Nathalie Joachim, Tania León (Tania is a BandQuest composer), William Parker, Nels Cline and Yuka C. Honda, Du Yun, and many more greats.
