2026-2027 Update: Recomposing America Becomes Flagship Program

The American Composers Forum (ACF) is thrilled to announce that Recomposing America is officially our newest permanent flagship program.

Originally envisioned as a single, multi-year initiative, the profound impact of last season confirmed that this work must remain a core part of our mission: illuminating uniquely American narratives and fostering deep institutional partnerships. The program actively embeds our anti-racist framework into our internal infrastructure, ensuring that transparency, equity, and a decolonized definition of “composer” guide all our operational decisions.
